Education Only Produces Smart People Not Educated People

Today there are so many embarrassing acts in the country such as corruption, bribery and much more. However, strangely the perpetrators of these criminal acts are smart people who hold degrees from various famous university graduates. Looking at the phenomena that occur today, it seems there is something wrong with the pattern of formal education in Indonesia and should be reviewed.

The pattern of formal education today only teaches the world's sciences so much to produce smart people but unfortunately, they are not educated and have a weak character. As a result, these smart people instead become the depraved, the thief and the weaker the followers. However, they should be a good helper and leader to create benefit for the people.

Moreover, today there are many highly educated and religious people, but their actions are very embarrassing and disturbing to the surrounding community. An example is, the many "honorable" types of councils are caught red-handed by corruption or bribery. The severity of the action is done together with their friends who are also "he said" honorable. The more sad when they are caught by the authorities, they even calmly and throw a broad smile to the community. It is as if they are happy with what they do. Are not they embarrassed by the act, whether they do not know or have never been taught that eating money that is not their right is a sin and is unlawful for them and their families.

Indeed they are already losing common sense and broken up his embarrassment. There are even people who are clearly entangled corruption case that became chairman or leader of an agency. Is not this a shame?

 
Therefore, the existing formal education system must be revised immediately by not only concerned with the outcome, but more importantly a process to achieve a success in order to no longer print smart people who seek, rather than educating smart people.
